Dr. Swati Suradkar -Consultant Breast Surgeon

Dr. Swati Arun Suradkar is a well-known “Consultant Breast surgeon in Pune”, practising in Pune, for the last 10 years. She completed her graduation [MBBS] from the prestigious B.J Medical College, Pune in 1999. She has completed her Post-graduation [DNB, General Surgery] from Ruby hall Clinic, Pune. She is trained in Breast Cancer Surgery at Tata Memorial Cancer Center, Mumbai. She passed MUHS Fellowship in Breast Surgery with distinction. She pursued her further training abroad, in “Advanced Oncoplastic Breast Cancer Surgery” at the reputed Guy’s & St. Thomas Hospital, in London, UK, a worldwide renowned centre for Breast cancer management.

She is a member of the Association of Breast surgeons of India (ABSI), the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Pune Surgical Society.

She has a special interest in Breast Conservation Surgery, Oncoplastic Breast Surgery and Aesthetic Breast Surgeries. She has surgical expertise in treating breast cancer by performing appropriate surgeries, as per the stages of Cancer, individualizing every patient’s management plan and guiding them with comprehensive care. She has a passionate dedication, not just to treating Breast cancer but also to creating awareness in society regarding Breast cancer, its early detection and its prevention, in general.

With her social commitment, she has conducted various Breast-check up camps, Mammography diagnostic camps in association with many hospitals and the Rotary club. She has been invited as a Guest speaker for creating awareness about Breast Cancer on different platforms, and also organized seminars for guiding General Practitioners.

Through her patient-centric, sincere & affectionate approach and her surgical expertise, she has successfully treated countless patients in the field of breast diseases over the years and has spread smiles on the faces of breast cancer survivors. She has brought new rays of hope in the lives of Breast cancer patients and their families by helping them to fight and overcome the challenging battle against Cancer.

 I had an opportunity to be a part of Guys and St Thomas hospital, NHS foundation, London, UK for 2 months. It was a great experience over there. A lot of good work in Advanced Oncoplastic breast cancer surgeries happening there. The technology is ahead of us. Breast cancer is detected in much earlier stage than our patients because of National Screening Mammography program by their government.
Dr Ashutosh Kothari ( Clinical lead breast cancer Dept) , Dr Hamed ( Consultant breast surgeon), all other consultants and clinical fellows were very good in patient care. Everyone there was very cooperative and received a warm welcome from them. I am very thankful for their love and affection for me and will cherish these memories lifetime.
Returned back to India last month… started my opds and surgeries again…
wherever you go, however beautiful and mesmerising other landscapes are but India  is the best… I love my country
